In the ever-changing world of media arts, the next award-winning feature or short could come from tablet or cellphone. This new program gives the student an opportunity to hone their skills and put them into practice. Whether a student is looking to make it commercially or on YouTube, the student will learn skills that will make them more marketable in today’s media-saturated culture.
Work that used to be done only in New York or Hollywood can now be accomplished in your living room. The EMA program will help you with skills including scriptwriting, editing, post-production, lighting and audio production.
Because experience is the best teacher, students can enroll in up to three internships to gain practical skills and insights. These courses can be combined to offer unique opportunities for students to see their creative ideas realized and preserved for a global audience as big as the student’s imagination.
Students have the option to earn a Technical Certificate in as little as twelve months or an Associate of Applied Science Degree (AAS) in two years. Students will leave with a broad knowledge base in media arts creation and computer design as well as a portfolio of personal work to help unlock doors in the media market or for further studies at a four-year university.
